• Marty Roberts Tells It Like It Is, With EarthCare Odor Eliminator

It was dark, about 6:00 AM, 2 years ago when a North Carolina Canine Trooper let his dog go relieve himself just before heading off to work. When his canine did not return immediately the trooper called for his dog and obediently his trusty companion returned, brushing up against his leg upon his return and jumped into the back of the troopers car.

Immediately the trooper was overwhelmed with the horrible stench of the skunk odor his comrade had left on his pant leg. The senses in his nose burned. He vomited convulsively and after his stomach was emptied, he continued to dry heave. This North Carolina trooper said this was the worst thing that has ever happened to him, even worse than when he had been shot in the line of duty.

As for his faithful working canine companion, the trooper not yet certain how to handle his hurting partner, decided to kennel him. While kenneled, the distressed dog kept trying to get rid of the stench from the furry striped critter by rubbing his paws over his nose which only made things worse.

After hearing this story I thought about the trooper and the job he must continue to perform. I couldn’t imagine being pulled over by a “skunk smelling trooper with the dry heaves”. I can see him now stepping up to a car just after the suspect rolled down his window, trooper saying, “Do you know why I pulled you over?”, and then dry heaves on the suspects’ car and the suspect nearly passing out from the stench. Obviously this trooper would be ineffective in attempting to pull over any violator of the law. Coincidently, Pest Control Professional Marty Roberts called his Canine Trooper friend and asked what he was doing. That’s when the trooper explained that he was trying to clean up the mess from his canine partner.

You can listen to this 69 second video from Marty Roberts of Rid-A-Bug Exterminating in Hamptonville, NC to see what he did to aid his desperate friend.

  • Is Your Cat Overweight?

Here are some tips to help Big Old Murphy kick his fuzzy booty in shape:

    – Feed a restricted-calorie reducing diet. Current studies suggest that a high-protein, low-carbohydrate diet works best. A high-protein diet is closer to the cat’s natural diet, too.
    – Feed regular, measured meals two or three times a day rather than free-feeding.
    – Don’t feed your cat table scraps or treats. Set aside a few bits of your cat’s regular ration for treats during the day.
    – Monitor your cat to make sure she’s not sneaking food from other places or eating at neighbors’ houses.
    – Chart your cat’s weight weekly. A digital baby scale is very helpful for this purpose. The cat should lose about 1 percent of her body weight each week.
    – Provide daily exercise and human companionship. Toys, games, and even making your cat work for her food (by putting it into interactive toys or moving her dishes) will reduce boredom and increase the amount of calories she burns.
    – Once your cat is down to a healthy weight, feed her a high-quality balanced food, in the proper amount, to maintain her new weight.

  • New Puppy and the Wonderful Job of Potty Training!

There’s a new puppy in the house, and “Oh My” is he cute! But everyone knows, along with the cute face, huge paws, and happy-go-lucky attitude come little accidents throughout the house, here and there.
The first step in puppy potty training requires that you learn the clues that indicate your puppy needs to potty. These clues are: restlessness, sniffing the floor, or returning to a previously soiled spot. Your pup will need to potty about 5-20 minutes after eating, sleeping or playing. When you take your puppy outside to potty, go to the same spot each time and don’t play. As soon as your puppy potties, praise enthusiastically. Give your puppy a small food treat to reinforce the positive behavior. Be enthusiastic after your puppy is done.
While you’re puppy potty training, you must keep the puppy close to you always so that the puppy does not have the opportunity to fail. This means starting the puppy out in a small area of the house and following the puppy nonstop. Alternatively, attach one end of a leash to the puppy and the other end to you, so that the puppy is no farther away from you than the end of the leash.
Of course, there will always be an accident here or there during this time of the puppy’s life. With Clear The Air Cat & Dog Urine Odor Eliminator just sprinkle the granules on top of the carpet leave on overnight and vacuum in the morning and the odor is completely eliminated. What a relief knowing there is a solution to eliminating odors from our new puppy!

    From: THE DOG
    Dear God,
Let me give you a list of just some of the things I must remember to be a good Dog.
    1. I will not eat the cats’ food before they eat it or after they throw it up.
    2. I will not roll on dead seagulls, fish, crabs, etc., just because I like the way they smell.
    3. The Litter Box is not a cookie jar.
    4. The sofa is not a ‘face towel’.
    5. The garbage collector is not stealing our stuff.
    6. I will not play tug-of-war with Dad’s underwear when he’s on the toilet.
    7. Sticking my nose into someone’s crotch is an unacceptable way of saying ‘hello’.
    8. I don’t need to suddenly stand straight up when I’m under the coffee table
    9. I must shake the rainwater out of my fur before entering the house – not after.
    10. I will not come in from outside and immediately drag my butt across the carpet.
    11. I will not sit in the middle of the living room and lick my crotch.
    12. The cat is not a ‘squeaky toy’ so when I play with him and he makes that noise, it’s usually not a good thing.

P.S. Dear God, When I get to Heaven may I have my testicles back?

  • Fun Cat Fact.

Being an owner of cats I always wondered why they are always licking themselves. Well, actually I knew the answer of course was to clean themselves but it always seemed kind of gross. You know, imagine if we had to lick ourselves to stay clean, not a pretty picture. Then I came across an interesting fact, cat saliva contains a deodorizing agent which keeps cats clean and healthy. Well that explains it, I’m mean they wouldn’t be licking themselves if it wasn’t doing any good. Unfortunately they can’t deodorize their own litter box area or after they have an accident, but Clear The Air surely can. For all of you cat owners check out our Cat/Dog urine removing formula, it works wonders.

By big game I of course mean the SuperBowl, which is going to be watched by millions worldwide today. As I was thinking about the big game, I started thinking about the person that has to take care of all the equipment after the games. It wasn’t the loveliest thought because I am sure the locker room becomes quite a smelly place to be. That got me thinking how much the stadium staff who run the locker rooms would benefit from using our Clear The Air bags. It isn’t just a benefit that they are extremely easy to use because you simply hang them in the areas that need serious odor removal, but they also are extremely effective. The unique form of Earth Care Products Mineral used in the bags does not have to come into contact with the odor producer; it will pull the odors from the entire area. We help people to not have to deal with foul odors such as locker rooms; I bet the players get use to the smell, themselves, though. The poor staff that have to deal with it are the ones that would love this product and experience is powerful use. If you need the same great results to eliminate odors from a gym, locker room, or even a kids room that plays sports, you will find no better product than ours.

  • Keeping Pets Safe In The Snow.

If you live in an area that has harsh winters and are familiar with snow plowing trucks, you know just how vital they are to keeping the roads clear. After they clear the roads they spread salt and or a sand/salt mixture to prevent cars from loosing traction. Also you might treat your own walkways and driveway with salt as well to provide a safe walking area. The salt used in these areas is sodium chloride which does its job melting the snow but also can be a hazard to any pets that ingest it or come in contact with it. It can cause irritation on your dogs paws if they are walking through salt treated areas. If they lick their paws or enjoy eating the snow, the ingesting of the sodium chloride can possible cause vomiting, diarrhea and in some cases even death. There are things you can do to prevent this from happening, like keep them away from the snow by the roads where the salt will be the highest concentration. Once inside, rinsing them off wherever they might have come in contact with the salt treated areas. On your own walkways and driveway, using sand for traction, will not melt the snow but will provide a salt free, safe area for them to play. If you think that your pet has ingested the sodium chloride, and they have signs of sickness, seek medical attention right away. You can still have fun with your dog in the snow. Just know the facts, and keep a watchful eye on their surroundings and all should be fine.
